Earn your $100 HRA credit or HSA contribution for 2022!

Helping you meet your health care needs

With the recent resurgence of COVID-19, we have made the decision to tie the $100 Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) credit and the Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution to vaccination.

You and your covered spouse can earn an extra $100 credit/contribution toward your HRA or HSA for 2022 if you enroll in a FedEx medical plan option administered by Cigna, UHC, Bind, or Kaiser (except Kaiser SFO). For 2022, all you must do to earn the credit/contribution is verify that you have received the vaccine for COVID-19 by Nov. 30, 2021.* The credit/contribution can be used for eligible out-of-pocket health care expenses. The $100 will be applied to accounts in early 2022. Employees not enrolled in medical coverage are not eligible for the $100.

Participants in HRA medical plan options administered by Cigna, UHC, or Kaiser, or in the medical plan option administered by Bind also can earn access to an HRA credit that can be used to pay or reimburse eligible expenses related to the treatment of COVID-19 incurred in 2022.

* A make-up period will be open in early 2022 for 2021 eligible employees and spouses so you can get vaccinated by Dec. 31, 2021, and still get your $100 HRA credit (and access to the $500 COVID-19 treatment HRA credit---not applicable to HSA participants) or $100 HSA contribution for 2022.* If you wait until the make-up period, credits/contributions to the HRA or HSA will be delayed and applied in March. New enrollees eligible for the catch-up period include employees and/or spouses added to the plan during the 2022 Annual Benefits Enrollment period or after. New enrollees must also be eligible for FedEx medical benefits in 2021 to be eligible for this catch-up period.
